On the Runway 2024 DESIGNER APPLICATION
DUE BY JANUARY 31st
Requirements
❖ You must create an inclusive runway collection consisting of 10-12 made-to-measure finished outfits.
➢ At least two outfits must be adaptive for models with disabilities.
➢ At least two outfits must be plus-sized.
➢ At least two outfits must be petite.
➢ No more than four outfits can be sample-sized.
❖ You will be provided with your list of models and their measurements by April 1st, 2024. Your list will be comprised of a wide spectrum of models based on race, size, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, and physical ability.
❖ You will receive a $500 stipend to offset some of the costs incurred in creating a runway collection. You’ll also receive any notions required for your adaptive pieces and guidance to use them correctly.
❖ You will be required to check in with us on a weekly basis to document your progress and receive advice or mentorship if needed.
❖ Your collection must be ready for model fittings by August 1st. You will coordinate with Kendall Parker kendall@fashionisforeverybody.com to schedule your model fittings at mutually convenient times during the month of August.
❖ All pieces must be runway-ready by September 1st. On the Runway will take place on September 7th.
❖ You will attend our Kickoff Party on July 27th, where we will introduce you as a 2024 designer.
❖ You will promote Fashion is for Every Body, especially ticket sales for the Kickoff Party and On the Runway, on social media. Campaign details to follow
❖ You will be given an 8’ X 10’ space in the lobby of Studio 615 to popup during the show. Tony Perrin will contact you before the event to determine your needs and ensure a cohesive shopping experience for guests.
Failure to meet any of the requirements above will disqualify you from showing your collection in perpetuity. You must also return the stipend amount in full.
